A few more days didn't sound terrible. Cloud did however wonder what living with Gou was going to be like, when Gou had obviously had such an effect on Chase, "I'm not going anywhere." He petted Chase's arm awkwardly in an attempt at calming him.
((Got to go home and do stuff so also slow, let me know when around!))

Cloud felt awkward at getting caught up in someone's obviously unresolved romantic entanglements. After a few moments he said "What do we have to do ... What time is it, anyway?"

"Time is irrelevant here," Chase sat up, "You think I am projecting some feelings for Gou on to you, you couldn't be more wrong. They died when I died. My thoughts and feelings for you are my own. No one past or present will change them. Alright?"

The nature of those feelings was something Cloud was deliberately avoiding thinking about, and he suspected it would be difficult for him when he finally had to, "I just thought it might be ... awkward. When he gets back," said Cloud, because Chase seemed to be able to read him so very easily. He had not been feeling himself at all so perhaps it was to be expected that subtlety currently wasn't his strong point.

"When will he be here? How long does he have?" Cloud was curious about the effects of the Shift Car. For his own part he was glad that it had all been over so quickly, instead of leaving him to linger in the knowledge that his time was running out.

Shinnosuke sighed, "Yeah, I know," he looks at him and smiled, "It's okay, I guess." Chase smiled as he walked into the room, fresh from a shower with just a towel around his middle, "Hai, little nin?" He sat on the bed right beside him, "You looked like you needed nor sleep, so I took a shower," he held the ninja's hand, "Are you feeling better?" Gou smiled right back at Shinnouske. "You know, Im glad that I came with you tonight" Gou paused and took a drink "Doing all of this really has helped calm me down and stop worrying about when my time comes." |

A year sounded like long enough, but this introduced a new concept to Cloud, "How long is that ... here?" It occurred to him that he might have been dead for a long time to the outside world. His cousins might now be grown up, older, even with their own families. What this meant for his plans for Takaharu, he wasn't sure.

Cloud nodded. He would have to think about Takaharu some more; find Takaharu, if he could, "What are we going to do ... today? It is today, isn't it?" He had no idea if he'd slept through the night, or if he'd taken a long afternoon nap and it was still the same day, or even if there were still days and nights here.

Chase smiled at Cloud's confusion, "In your mind, it's only been 3 days."
