Shinnosuke sighed, "Yeah, I know," he looks at him and smiled, "It's okay, I guess."
Chase smiled as he walked into the room, fresh from a shower with just a towel around his middle, "Hai, little nin?" He sat on the bed right beside him, "You looked like you needed nor sleep, so I took a shower," he held the ninja's hand, "Are you feeling better?"

"Yes. Thank you. Better." Cloud felt like he needed a shower, but then it dawned on him that if he took one he'd have no clean clothes. He could maybe ask to borrow some, except that he and Chase were not exactly the same size, "You don't ... happen to have a washing machine?"

Chase replied, "I do, but I have some clothes for you. It accrued to me that you do not have any," he then bent over and Cloud could see some deep scares on his back and what looked like a burn scare on right side. He then sat up and handed him a bag, "I hope they fit."

"Thank you." Cloud accepted the bag, vaguely wondering if the clothes would be quite so form-fitting as Chase's. The sight of Chase's scars made Cloud pause, "What happened to you? Was that ... that guy back there?" It wasn't clear from this angle how recent the scars were.

"Some, the rest was Heart-sama's temper," Chase replied. Without thinking, he stood up and removed his towel and started to get dressed. :Since Brain-sama came along, he is less temperamental.

Cloud did not like the sound of Heart-sama, and was not looking forward to meeting him. None of Chase's "associates" seemed pleasant at all although Cloud supposed that was rather to be expected. He made an embarrassed little squeaking noise when Chase dropped the towel; and ran towards the bathroom, hoping for there to be a spare towel so he could take his own shower.

When Cloud went to the bathroom, he saw a towel and rag, folded, on the sink, with a bar of lavender and vanilla soap and matching shampoo, still wrapped, waiting for him.

Cloud had a shower and got dressed in his new clothes. He came out of the bathroom, hair still wet. The shower was clean, so he thankfully didn't have to have the awkward discussion about sharing house chores just at this moment, "Thank you."

Chase was sitting on the bed when he looked up and smiled at Cloud, "You're welcome. I bet you feel better, ne?"

"I meant being slow. Not being able to remember things." Cloud supposed this was technically not his fault, if it were part of the natural process of becoming a Reaper, but all the same he felt the need to apologise for it. He certainly hoped Chase was right in saying it was temporary.

"Cloud, look at me," he made Cloud look at him, "I promise you, you will be yourself and one with your new powers soon. Just hang in there a few more days, please." He begged, worry starting to come to his eyes, "Just don't leave me like he did..." He whispered.
((Got to start the cleaning thing and being a good wife. Going to be slow-ish.))
